These Turbochargers were excellent in design but under hard use would develop oil seal issues.
During the rebuild process we upgrade them internally to a triple oil bypass design to really improve their ability to operate under hard use and reliability/longevity in operation.

The K04 employs a 43.30/56.08 Compressor impeller.  The original design is better in spool time over previous models but our RAZOR impeller takes it to a whole new level.

Our improved tip height and shape (similar to what is used on our Race only impellers) really offers instant response to throttle movement and a sound that lets everyone know under boost… you aren’t messing around. We really love the sound of this impeller and its performance in the K04 housing.

Priced at $260.00 the RAZOR impeller reduces lag AND offers the potential to increase boost without fear of impeller failure.

Description

All of our Porsche turbochargers are Ultra Sonically cleaned, inspected for cracks, signs of heat stress and then measured to be within the specs for assembly. Surfaces that require to be refinished/squared are performed on our In House CNC machines. All of our Porsche turbochargers are rebuilt using components that are at or above OEM quality. All of our Porsche turbochargers are Dual Plane Digitally/Computer balanced to ensure smooth operation and long life.

All rebuilds are completed using premium components and in many cases are upgraded to 360 degree thrust bearings.

All Turbochargers are Inspected for alignment, shafts are inspected for wear and run out.  Housings are inspected for cracks and surfaces are trued (on our own In House CNC Machines) if required.

Proper seals meeting or exceeding OEM specifications are installed.  Proper seal fitment is tested and verified.

The turbocharger is Dual Plane balanced.

After it passes Quality Control inspection, the Turbocharger is stamped with a Serial number that identifies its final specifications and all the parts installed in the rebuild and upgrade (if performed) are recorded to its history file.
